It was her brilliant mind who came up with the idea for this venture. A little back story:
When I quit smoking in June 2024 I desperately needed a way to keep my hands busy that didn't involve stinky smells and stained fingers; so I chose to pick crochet back up. My grandmama first taught me when I was 7 years old. I played around with it for a few years then stopped when I became the angsty 90s
teenager I was. I immediately fell back in love this summer with the hooks and the yarn (oh my GOSH, the yarn) and I knew I had found not only my passion, but something I could invest an incredible amount of time into without much physical effort. I am disabled. And that has made it very difficult to find work that my health will allow me to keep. I was at the very end of my rope after months and months of never hearing back from employers in spite of job trainings, resume workshops, job fairs, the WORKS! With my limitations, it does limit my field. I just didn't know what to do anymore, when B suggested I turn my passion into a business. The short story of the conversation and brainstorming sessions that came after is: Bumble Queens was born. I love crocheting fun projects that stretch my skills and also help create items that could potentially spark joy in others. I have been wanting to create a line of jewelry as well that will help bring awareness to mental health, emotional health, suicide prevention, and addiction awareness. I eventually want to give back to the communities that have helped and inspired me, including the amazing LGBTQ+ community. But, for now, I invite you to visit my little online shop and subscribe to my newsletter to stay updated on the latest finished products, news on the upcoming jewelry line, and much more to come! We thank you so much for taking the time to check out our small business. Please share with others who may also be interested. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Cara Marie & "B"
