How did I learn to make piñatas? 😊😊I am asked this question all the time. I consider piñata making an art form. In 2006 I traveled to El Salvador where I learned to make piñatas with craftsmen and artisans in a piñata school in San Salvador who must sell the piñatas to support their families. It took me a year to learn the basic shapes. I spent many hours practicing the craft. My piñata -making instructor encouraged students to construct challenging characters. Because of my motivation to continually develop new characters and techniques, I have been successfully building piñatas for the last 18 years.
