When buying online, I ALWAYS check reviews, especially when it comes to purchasing something on Amazon.

According to Business Insider, one-third of consumers won’t even purchase something they want if it doesn’t have reviews yet. In fact, Amazon reviews are actually the most trusted, more than reviews posted anywhere else. People trust the reviews on Amazon so much so that they will go read them even when purchasing somewhere else.

Suffice it to say, reviews are so incredibly important!

Babies get smarter and more curious faster than we realize which means naturally they will probably want to start messing with the suction cup on our Don’t Drop It ™. Because of this, that’s why we recommend the Don’t Drop It ™ for ages 4 months to 9 months when using it for infants. For older babes or when your little one wants to start messing with the suction cup, just adhere it where they can’t see it! The underside of the high chair tray, the side or back of the seat, anywhere it’s not easy for them to see it. Out of sight, out of mind!

I LOVE how easy it is to care for the Don’t Drop It ™! While out and about, you can simply wash it in the bathroom sink with warm water and soap, or even just wipe it down with a baby wipe. When at home, you can also put it in the dishwasher on the top rack.

Like with anything else you use, inspect your Don’t Drop It ™ it regularly for any wear and tear, discontinue use and discard if damaged.

The Don’t Drop It ™ is so easy to use. The loop is the perfect size to slide around sippy cups, but you can also loop it around anything else you want to keep from falling to the floor!

To use with a cup or bottle, carefully stretch the loop open and slide, don’t roll, the loop around and up the drinking item. For anything you can’t slide the loop around, you can simply put the suction cup all the way through the loop around your item and pull just tight enough until the silicone pieces grip to each other and to the item. When adhering the suction cup, make sure you are using it on a smooth, dry, flat surface then press down firmly in the middle of the suction cup to ensure a good grip.

When using for a baby and they’re wanting to mess with the suction cup, simply adhere it where they can’t see it! The underside of the highchair tray, the side of the seat, any smooth flat surface that will make it “out of sight, out of mind!”

So is it safe? We can say with a resounding YES, that our Don’t Drop It ™ has been tested by a third-party Consumer Product Safety Commission approved lab where it was found to be safe for use from age four months and up! The Don’t Drop It ™ is a one-piece design made of food-grade silicone that is free of lead and phthalates, is non-flammable, and is free of small parts, sharp points, and sharp edges. It is not a teether or chew toy though but can be used to hold those types of products and prevent them from touching the ground. Only use as intended and under adult supervision. As with all products you use, inspect regularly for any wear and tear, discontinue use and discard if damaged.

We’ve talked about how the Don’t Drop It ™ came about, now let’s talk about what it is!

The Don’t Drop It ™ is a food-grade silicone suction cup toy strap/tether that can be attached at the loop end to sippy cups, toys, and so much more and then adhered to a smooth, flat, dry surface at the suction cup end. It is long enough for functional movement such as drinking, but not too long as to risk the item touching the ground. The Don’t Drop It ™ itself is not a teether or chew toy but can be used to keep those items from falling to the ground. The Don’t Drop It ™ is flexible and compact for you to take anywhere. You can put one in the diaper bag, your purse, the kitchen drawer, wherever! It is also very easy to clean.

The Don’t Drop It ™ is for all ages four months and older, but if using for an infant the ideal age range is 4 months to 9 months. If baby is messing with the suction cup too much, simply attach it underneath/on the bottom of the surface you’re using it on. Out of sight, out of mind! Make no mistake though, the Don’t Drop It ™ is not only for babies! You will find the Don’t Drop It ™ to prove very useful for anything that you keep dropping, knocking off surfaces, or simply want to stay close to the area it’s needed.

When raising our babies, we found ourselves repeating one phrase as they got to the age of sitting in their high chairs and activity seats. Over and over again we would tell them, “Don’t drop it!” as they continuously threw their teethers, toys, and sippy cups. Not only would it become tedious to repeatedly wash the items that fell to the ground so that they could put the teether, toy, or sippy cup back in their mouth, but over time it became a game to have mom or dad pick up their dropped items. Other toy tethers had to be attached in ways that were too far from where we needed them, thus restricting the functional movement desired to be able to drink from an attached sippy or chew on an attached teether. I needed something with a strong suction cup that could go right on the high chair or stroller tray or even the table at a restaurant. We couldn’t find anything that was exactly what we wanted, so we decided to make it.

However, the Don’t Drop It ™ is not only for babies! From infants to the elderly, the Don’t Drop It ™ will prove useful for any items you don’t want falling or getting knocked to the ground when attached anywhere with a smooth, dry, flat surface.

From me explaining my idea to my husband, drawing it on paper (seen here), taking it to a designer and manufacturer, and getting prototypes and a trademark, it’s now officially for sale on Amazon! We hope you find the Don’t Drop It ™ as useful as we do and that it can help save your sanity from the “dropping game.”
