Health update on the B in our TC&B: (Please read to the end)
On November 25th, Bella will be having her VNS box and wires completely removed and replaced with new ones.
Her VNS had a wire that came loose and started shocking her muscle instead of her brain.
They had to turn it off completely and so she no longer has the shocks every 47 secs and we cant use it for rescue during a seizure. They had to shut it off so that it did not do damage to her tissue or her heart. Zodiac has been working overtime and has been ours and Bella's hero. He's been pre-alerting to every one of her seizure's and let's us know when she needs help. Yes her seizures have increased since the VNS has been shut off. Another thing that is being affected is that with Bella's Autism and OCD she has become accustomed to having the stimulation of those shocks and it is throwing her off now that its gone.
Autism, Epilepsy, and OCD have been kicking our butts. We've had nights where we have been up until 4:30 - 5:00 a.m. because Bella can't sleep and is wide awake telling us all about Spy Ninja's. We've been on seizure watch even more lately. Lets just say that if we didn't have Zodiac as Bellas Service dog these last few weeks would have been so much worse. So we are putting together a small surgery wishlist and we are sharing her donation link that goes directly to 4 Paws For Ability for her next Service Dog. We wanted to put both of these out that way, there are options in case somebody doesn't want to donate, but they do want to show Bella some love.
Below are the links to her Service Dog Donation link and Wishlist.
