Some of my postings will be things I make for my daughter/friends (samples you can custom order from), some will be actual inventory for sale, and some will be one time items for sale. I love when Addy gets the organic opportunity to “connect-the-dots” with what she is learning. Today in our language arts curriculum we learned a tiny bit about Amerigo Vespucci and how the America’s were named after him only because the name stuck. She recalled the name and the song from when she learned about explorers last cycle in . Watching these connections form and the learning come alive for her is the best.

I love their creativity and ability to entertain themselves with their imagination. ⁣Ninja School.

But also...mama’s tired. Mama don’t like cleaning the same thing a million times. But they are little and these days won’t last forever. And when they are older they can do chores. 😜

This exact same week one year ago was the first time we walked into this church. Over the past year I have been in complete awe of all that the Lord has done. The ways that our family has grown in a way that our primary focus is not success or achievement but glorifying God, is such a testament to His sanctifying work and not ourselves. Friends and community that have become a family have loved us and encouraged us while also pushing us through hard things has filled a hole in my own life that I felt so deeply. It’s been such a privilege and honor to be involved in serving the church alongside so many selfless people that gives us such a sweet picture of sacrificial love. Yesterday we celebrated a name change that mirrors a church that is intentional about preaching the gospel and loving others as Christ loved us and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of Risen Church and to watch how God is made much of.

The one with the mismatched shoes and messy hair. She doesn’t care much for the chaos around her. She’s usually content unless her food isn’t coming quickly enough. She is frequently still and peaceable. Today as I soak in the sun and God’s Word, and the other littles run around crazily, she sits quietly beside me in this chair and I’m so thankful for who she was formed to be. I’m full of gratitude that she just wants to be near to me. I pray that I can learn from her to be still, ignore the chaos around me and draw near.

Homeschool looks a little different here today!! We are a part of a homeschool community that meets one morning a week, called . We absolutely love our little community where I am a tutor, but today we had the wonderful opportunity to do a VIRTUAL community day! The kids were sooo excited to see their director on our computer monitor in the classroom. And Austin was just so excited to be involved and he did so well, what a sweet glimpse into next year. 🥰 Follow along on our community day in my stories!! ⁣

I pray that for however long they are in our homes, we would enjoy our children.

Right now is the time to connect with them.

Engage with them, look them in the eyes and have a conversation.

Play what they enjoy and learn something new FROM THEM.

No matter how old they are, read a book with them. At this point start a whole series of books!

Ask questions. We may all be sick of talking about the news, but we ARE talking about it, so ask them how they feel. Comfort them and don’t dismiss their fears. Don’t be afraid to be honest and vulnerable with your children. Remind them that you don’t hold all the answers, and you may be concerned too, but our security and comfort lies in God.

Let’s not get years down the line and wonder how our kids got to where they are, because we haven’t fully known them.

Be their safe place.

Take this OPPORTUNITY to be present, love and enjoy your family. Pray WITH them as you pray FOR them.

You’ve heard it before CC mamas...Go To Practicum. Last year was our first year of and I didn’t go to practicum. Last week I finished my first practicum, first tutor training and my oldest completed her first Geo Draw Camp. I not only feel so much more equipped as a homeschooler, I am incredibly encouraged as a mother. The choices we make for how to educate our children, what topics we study, and how to structure our home life should all have the ultimate goal of glorifying God. We were blessed with an amazing speaker in Matthew Brogdon and I was left with more inspiration than I was prepared to receive. I am more grateful this year than ever before to have the privilege and opportunity to both homeschool my kids and redeem my own education all for purpose of knowing God and making Him known. ⁣

So don’t be like me, go to practicum as early as possible, cc parents!! 😜 ⁣

Sooo it’s been a hot minute since I’ve updated our entry chalkboard but...I LOVE this one. I’m nowhere near a expert but the color came out so bold! 😍⁣

Hack: This was so much easier using Wonder Stix because there wasn’t dust and smears everywhere!😫 And the color!!💚💛💙⁣

Quick and easy project. We used to make a bunch of different sized spots and since it dries quickly we didn’t have to wait long before adding our details. The details can be whatever you want but these faces were fun!! ⁣

We use our for everything now instead of regular paint, because...kids are crazy messy. ⁣

We are having a little bit of crafting ADD over here. A loom, tangled yarn, baby dolls, strings and beads scatter the table. Love watching this girl grow. And if she keeps this up I’ll have myself a little partner in crime on shopping trips. 😉

Prepping for our next year with ! Each week’s timeline cards organized by week, I made dividers and laminated labels. They aren’t perfect but they work! Also did you know the timeline cards fit perfectly in an ammo box (and it has a handle!)? 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m equal parts excited and unprepared as a first time tutor for Addy’s class this year! 😬 ⁣
