Some say there are no heroes in real life. Some say heroes on the screen are not the same in real life. I can tell you for a fact that is not the case, since I had the privilege of knowing well one of them. Chuck Norris was the reason I came to Texas, and by far one of the greatest advocates and benefactors of the Machado Family. His friendship was genuine and never faltered to all those who had a chance to be close to him!
“I told him last time I saw him , “Chuck, I will never forget what you have done for me and my family, and I am forever grateful! I love you!”
All I heard back while looking at his eyes, which were as teary as mine was, “I love you too!”
May his beautiful family have all the support and strength at this moment.
All I can say is he was a hero to me and many others! You will be missed, Chuck!

Parents ask the right question.

Competition is not about being perfect.
It is about learning in a safe and structured setting.

At Rock N’ Roll Grapple Fest, kids are grouped by age, weight, and experience level.

Referees step in right away if a position is unsafe.

Youth matches are organized, supervised, and controlled.

First, they learn how to compete.
Then, they learn how to grow.

Each match starts with submission rules.
Then it moves to points.
The rules are clear.
The winners are clear.
The lessons are clear.

They either win or they learn.
Both help them move forward.

Youth competitors must check in before 9:00 AM on April 12.
