A little thrifting, a little vintage shopping, date-night dinners, clear water, swimming, slowing down… and a few moments that were just for us. ❤️

Somehow we also ended up watching what felt like half the world get married from the pier. 😂💍

Good food, salty air, feeling beautiful, feeling sexy, and nowhere we needed to be. Exactly the kind of getaway I needed.

Weekend out in Richmond Va.

Lots of visits to historic sites, walks through gardens, and lots of bar hopping.

One of my favorite things was visiting the “vampire” tomb at Hollywood cemetery. Not sure why but cemeteries are my favorite place to visit.

Another of my favorite things to do is meet people at the bar.

Nothing like a great conversation between tipsy people at 2 a.m.

I’ve met some of the best people and have had the most interesting conversations late night after a few cocktails.

Nothing like crashing a wedding party late night and having a blast

Self guided Roanoke island tour. The lost colony has always been a fascination of mine.

Of course I had to use the AHS theme song because that season was one of my favorites.

In order of favorites 1-Murder house 2-Roanoke island 3-80’s camp horror and 4 the political season.

Honestly I skipped the coven which is what everyone seems to love. Just too overdone for my liking.

For me it’s a beautiful dress, that fits perfectly!

This is me yesterday. Feeling beautiful and confident in this dress I found at TJ Maxx.

Today however, I haven’t changed out of PJs. 🤣

No place I’d rather be than in the pool.

Soaking up the sun. Giant margarita waiting for me on the side and spending time with my favorite people.

Had to grab a few photos before the good hair disappeared.

Spent the day at PT, posed with the Durham Bull, and celebrated a positive specialist visit for my youngest after a 9-month wait.

Hope feels pretty good today. 💚

Can we all do a good old fashioned rain dance for NC right now?

This is falls lake. It’s super low and it supplies our towns drinking water.

Our worst drought in a very, very long time.

Hubby and I decided to go take a look for ourselves. Where we are walking should be covered in about 4 feet of water.

Currently water restrictions at a stage 1 but soon will be at stage 2.

So let’s all pray for rain!🌧️
