The pomegranate is one of the ancient foods, medicines and dyestuffs, revered in Greek mythology, the Qu'ran and the Book of Exodus in the Torah.
It is associated with fertility, abundance, eternal life and prosperity. The pomegranate motif is stitched into Uzbek suzanis, used in widely in decoration and displayed on the heraldic crest of the British Medical Association as it was valued for its medicinal properties.
Oh and it is also sold on the Botanical Colors site...

As a design principle she "uncompromisingly strives for deep life cycle sustainability and environmentally minimal impact designs". Courtney has tailored a lovely pair of pants in Foxfibre brown terry, naturally dyed will oak gall, and will be presenting them for auction on the fashion gala runway.
