We are so excited to have Jordan Mize as our June LGTW Guest Trainer!
Jordan is a 36 yr old, full-time equine profesional, managing a large hunter jumper facility in Northeastern NC. She’s originally from Tampa Florida, where she got her start in the dog world through her parents, who raised, imported and trained a variety of European bred protection dogs. When she’s not at the barn, you can find her somewhere training retrievers or running hunt tests! She also enjoys hunting, shooting competitive 3D archery and photography.
She’s got an impressive resume of dogs;
🐾Wake- HRCH
🐾Lambo- HRCH, 2 upland passes towards his UH title, ~ 10 finished passes away from the 500 point club
🐾Flash-( who’s not hers but belongs to a friend who lets her run him, and she calls him her adopted dog) HRCH, UH. Also only needs 10 passes for the 500 point club
🐾Jesko-SHR ( Started Hunting Retriever) 1 seasoned pass and now lives his days chasing upland birds and working as a cardiac alert dog.

Jordan will be running Wake, Lambo and Flash at the 2026 Spring Grand just before our training weekend! When they get through the grand they will turn their attention to the SRS and running some Qs!

Clark Kennington, Carter Turner, Stephen Durrence are all trainers Jordan really looks up to and enjoys watching. Some trainers that have had a really big effect on her as a trainer are actually some of her really close training friends/judges… Kevin Nunn, Jeremie Lovejoy ( Country Roads Retrievers) Bobby Bridges( the Kennel at Five Forks), Justin Diercks, Jeff Henderson, Chandler Joyner ( JGK Retrievers) Landon Poplin( Wirehair Outdoors) and Kenny Rose ( Rose Breyer Retrievers). Many people have been so helpful, kind and encouraging, but she says there is absolutely no way she’d be a fraction of where she is training wise without the help and mentorship of Alan Siveny!
All these trainers have left their mark on Jordan and she’s excited to pass that knowledge and encouragement on to the next group of Ladies at The Camp at 5E Ranch!

I’m 396 followers away from 105k, so I thought I’d introduce myself to y’all and maybe gain a few followers as well!
I’m Ashlin👋🏽 I grew up In Tuscaloosa, Alabama (RTR!) and was very much a city girl. Freshman year of college my world got rocked when I met this country boy, named Will, from Slapout Alabama! 15 years ago we moved to RURAL West Alabama, literally 30 miles from a Dollar General, if you’re from the south, you know thats hard to achieve! That’s when I really got into dove hunting and working with my first Labrador, “Bee Transformed CGC”
We have 3 sons and 1 daughter and as a family we have hunted just about everything there is to hunt, but prefer to hunt something you can do with a dog! We have 5 hog dogs and a squirrel dog In additionto my 3 Labs.
I started this page initially to stay in contact with parents who’s kids were members in a dog training club I started at a local school. The club has since ended but the page grew attention and the goals shifted.
I am passionate about working dogs and encouraging others. I love to share my real experiences, good and bad, with training my dogs. The community of people I’ve met through breeders, training weekends, hunt test, and even through the social media (sodal mesha, IYKYKYK) are some great people I consider mentors and now, some of my best friends! The connection is what drives me to continue to grow this page.
I’ve been a hairstylist for 21 years and have just recently gone part-time to focus on a dream!
Will and I felt The Lord pulling us towards this dream for over a year but we didn’t know how it was going to happen. All the while, He was working out all the details and giving us crumbs of what our lives could look like! A few months back it all came together, literally like missing pieces of a puzzle, suddenly laying out infront of us, ready to fit perfectly in place! That’s how we became the managers of
The Camp has just gotten up and running and we are full speed ahead booking Gundog Training Weekends, Dove, Quail, Deer, Squirrel and Hog hunts! You can also just book The Camp for some time in the country with your friends, family and your dogs! I’ll be sharing some of that adventure here as well, but would love your support on that page as well!
So I think that’s about all there is to know about me. I can’t express how grateful I am for these opportunities we have been given and all of our friends’ support!
