Handmade Jewelry from Beads📿 & Bu****it 🐂💩 where a portion of every sale goes to helping those in need in the North Alabama area.
Hello. My name is Robin and I to introduce myself to you if you donwanted't already know me and what this is all about.
My backstory goes pretty much like this...
I am disabled and until recently, just a few days before Thanksgiving actually, is when I found my current place to live, I was homeless and living on the streets. I was also in a wheelchair most of the time. Trying to live out there like that was extremely difficult and dangerous. Living on the streets and not being disabled is hard enough. While being out there I made quite a few friends. Friends that now I think about when it's freezing or raining or the holidays and I know that they don't have family or somewhere else to go to eat. I worry about all of them and I have felt powerless to help them mainly due to financial situation until now.
So I have started making jewelry, and I am donating a lot of the proceeds to help those who need it to get off of the streets, or get them things that they need like blankets, sleeping bags, tents, or whatever else they can use at that particular time.
A lot of my jewelry right now is from other pieces that were broken or just out of style that were given to me to get me started. A lot of what's new has also been donated to me.
So, yes, I do accept donations of jewelry (used and new, broken jewelry, pieces of jewelry, jewelry making supplies, tools, etc.) so I can carry on with what I am doing.
So when considering purchasing one or more of my pieces, please consider what has gone into making it, the time gathering the supplies, the time creating it and the time putting it together, and of course who it will help once you have purchased it.
Some pieces I am able to put together quickly and others take considerable time with creating that piece. One particular piece that I was working on, I had been working on it for weeks, but I had to wait for the right pieces to come in that I wanted to use for that design. All pieces that I say are Handmade with Love by Robin I have designed and created and made myself and are original, one of a kind works by me. The pieces that have only Handmade with Love or Handmade with Love by another name, are made by others that have been donated to me or purchased by me to sell for the same purpose. I also have numerous pieces of jewelry that are not handmade and are part of the jewelry section of Belle La Rue, while the handmade jewelry is also listed under Belle La Rue, it is officially part of a different business that I accidentally but fondly named l Beads📿& Bu****it🐂💩! I hope that the name doesn't offend anyone but at the moment I blurted that out, it's what was going on in my life. A friend who was with me looked at me and said, that is so cute and the perfect name for your business and Beads📿& Bu****it🐂💩 was born.
Either way, each piece was carefully made out of love with the intent to help others that are in need at that time and also to help me stay off of the streets as well.
So when you purchase a particular piece or several pieces, remember that you are also a part of the chain of love that is helping others.
