Putting a quilt on the longarm while embroidering some hats. The hat design seemed appropriate for memorial day. "Thank you" is too small a gesture to all the service men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice that has allowed us to celebrate 250 years.

Chocolate covered strawberries just in time for Valentine's Day! Each one is created by hand from colorful cotton fabric dipped in felt "chocolate" topped off with a bright green felt top. They could make the perfect backdrop for a little sparkling gift for that special someone ❤️

Finished 2 more donation quilts. These were pieced by Beth Hall. Both are a 3 yard quilt pattern called landslide. I quilted the brown quilt with "meandering pines" and the aqua and cranberry quilt with "chaparral". I had to lookup what chaparral was--it is a drought tolerant plant that resprouts quickly after fires. The pattern reminds me of traditional feathers, but more modern looking. I'm very happy with how they turned out.

This is going to be a long one but hang on 'til the end...I started making my felt food when I became a grandmother. I wanted my granddaughter to have some unique items for her play kitchen. Fast forward a couple years, and I put a few of my items in a local shop for sale. My hope was that a few kids might enjoy the food as much as i enjoyed making them. I sold several items which was great, but what touched me the most was a message that I received from a parent who bought a couple things. She was so kind and said her daughter was really having fun with her "food". That one message brightened my day much more than she will ever know. So if you purchase something hand crafted take a quick minute to let the maker know you are glad you did. It means alot!
