🌹 To Deadhead or Not to Deadhead? That is the question! 🧤✂️

Deadheading—removing spent blooms—can encourage many roses to put their energy into producing even more flowers rather than forming hips. While it’s not necessary for all varieties (especially many of our Antique Roses), it can help keep your garden looking tidy and blooming beautifully! 💫

Here are a few quick tips:
✔️ Snip just above a set of 5 leaflets.
❌ Avoid cutting too low or leaving behind long stems.
💡 Not all roses need deadheading! Some repeat bloomers do just fine on their own, and others may produce beautiful hips in fall if left untouched. It’s all about your garden style and goals.

So whether you're team “Let it grow” or “Snip snip,” just know—there’s no wrong answer. It’s your rose garden, your rules! ✨

I am getting multiple notices that I am going to have my page permanently removed for violations of whomever is over facebook.

The names and information look sketchy and, they want me to click on links to verify or click on links to submit an appeal. I will not do either.

If you notice anything on my From Polly’s Garden or from the Grossie Farm, please let me know. The side rails have been removed and the hackers are having a ball!

I guess I must apologize for all of the ads that are being posted on my pages. They will be deleted as I am able. Some are AI bots and only allow me to snooze for 30 days!!!

So not happy with facebook and how it allows or doesn’t allow keeping my site clean and clear!

I don’t get on Facebook that much anymore but will try to keep it clean. Frustrating. I am sorry you have to see things that do not truly represent me or my values.

I am seeing so many ads on all three pages. Most are not to my liking. I got something the other day about mobile homes. As I asked why I was seeing this, the response was because I had visited sites for dogs and cats.

Now. Tell me how we are to trust AI if looking at animal rescue sites relates to mobile homes. Algorithms ain’t always factual!!!

Beneath this pile of about 4 years of “I will get to it when I finish such and such”, lies my old Bernina. I still haven’t been officially released by the pulmonologist and a couple of others but…

God has a plan and when He tells me all is well, I will get From Polly’s Garden active again. I never dreamt there could be so many challenges but I will move as able! LOL! Being an old geezer isn’t helping!

Ok. Facebook has set this page as a business. That works for me with the exception that it is always public but, I will continue to be on recess for a while.

I am no longer a fan of posting my health info but I want you to be patient and be my support group!!!

For the past 4+ years, I have dealt with chronic disorders and doctors that do not consider the whole body when making treatment recommendations. My motor skills have been severely limited by some of their decisions. I am gradually getting some strength back and still have lots of pt to do before I am able to do my sewing and crafts. I have been told it may take a year or longer to undo the damage done by one physician.

To keep the page active, I will need to make periodic posts. Some may be nothing more than a joke or a thought for the day.

As you see craft shows or opportunities for me to market my cottage food products, please let me know. I will start a calendar with approximate dates for next year and contacts.

Always remember, God has a plan!

I continue to deal with health challenges but know that God has a plan.

If you are aware of any craft shows or markets for the remainder of the year. I make no guarantees but the process has been started to clear around the machine and start pulling patterns!

I will keep you advised.

As usual, Facebook is telling me I am not active enough and need some new likes!
