By August, most toys are in a pile. Forgotten, outgrown, or just never that interesting to begin with.

These ones aren’t.

At 2, they place by shape. At 4, they build the picture. Same puzzle, different reasons to keep coming back.

Most parents have never heard of ASTM D-4236. But if your kids use markers, it’s worth knowing about.

Every art supply sold in the US has to conform to this standard. What it actually requires: a certified toxicologist reviews the formula and determines whether any ingredient could cause harm with regular, long-term use.

If something is found, the label has to say so. If nothing is found, there’s nothing to warn about.

The markers included with our Tabletop Easel were reviewed by a board-certified toxicologist. All 6 colors. No hazards found.

Save this - it’s the kind of thing worth knowing before you hand a marker to a three-year-old.

You didn’t have a plan for 9am on a Tuesday in week two of summer. Nobody does.

Here’s what actually works, by age:
1–2: Things they can dump, fill, and carry.
2–3: A doll. A puzzle. Something with a role they can assign. 3–5: Something they can make and show you.
5+: Something they can return to over several days without you setting it back up.

You don’t have to orchestrate any of it. You just have to set it up.

Every parent has been there. The meltdown that comes out of nowhere. The big feeling your child can’t name, can’t explain, and definitely can’t manage on their own yet.
