Finally got around to switching things up a bit before the weekend, and I’m honestly so happy with how it came out! I did a little toy rotation and refreshed the living room, and now it feels extra playful, cozy, and inviting, like the kind of space that just pulls you in to sit, play, and stay awhile 🤭

There’s something about rotating toys that makes everything feel brand new again without actually adding more, and I love watching her rediscover things with fresh excitement. It just brings such a different energy into the space!

I’m lowkey counting down the minutes until she wakes up from her nap because I already know she’s going to light up when she sees it all set up 🥹 those reactions make it so worth it every single time.

Hi ladies!

This week absolutely flew by and I feel like I’ve barely had a second to keep up with social media. Truly, major kudos to those of you who manage to stay active online while juggling the chaos of everyday life—I’m impressed. 😅

A few little highlights from our week:

• I’ve recently discovered that the air fryer can handle way more than I thought. Pork, steak, and shrimp all came out surprisingly delicious. I’m starting to feel like I’ve been seriously underutilizing this thing.

• V’s mud kitchen was delivered last night and it is so beautiful. I’m beyond excited to get it set up in the yard and start putting together a fun little space for her. Unfortunately, we still have some yard cleanup to tackle first… and of course the forecast is calling for snow this weekend. Because why wouldn’t it be? 🙃

• We came across some really lovely, more realistic wooden puzzles today and V was completely wowed by them. I’m hoping to add them into our next toy rotation because she seemed so drawn to them.

• V also took her very first trip to the library this past weekend with her dad. For those of you who know her, books are easily one of her top favorite things, so this was a huge hit. I have a feeling we’ll be making library trips part of our regular routine.

• And we received the sweetest early Easter package from our long-distance friends Karen Guerra & Natalie, which included some Danny Go Tonies that V has already been loving. It was such a thoughtful surprise. 🥹

Anyway, that’s our little recap, I hope you all had a wonderful week too! I’m hoping to be a bit more active here again once life slows down just a little.

Your mornings may start with coffee…

Ours start with books & an energy drink for me📚☀️

Before breakfast is even finished, we’ve already read two or three. Throughout the day there are books on the couch, books before nap, books before bed… honestly sometimes it feels like we read all day long.

But I don’t mind one bit🥹

With so many conversations happening right now about the literacy crisis in kids, it reminds me that the little things we do at home matter more than we realize. Reading out loud. Letting them turn the pages. Hearing the same story for the 47th time. It’s not just a routine, it’s how kids build vocabulary, imagination, and a love for learning. ❤️

The best part?
One day they’ll read those same stories back to me.

Thrifting for books has been a little dry lately… but today? The thrifting gods finally came through and I think I hit the mother lode!

Our spring-ish book rotation is officially starting to come together and I’m obsessed with all the bright, cheerful colors. It feels like the shelves are finally waking up from winter.

Valentina was VERY excited about the swap and immediately started flipping through everything like she had just discovered a whole new library. Moments like that make the hunt so worth it.

Also found a cute spring bag for myself and some spring clothes for V. Fav find of the day was the 2002 Barney book!
