🎃Finished up my first embroidery hoop! I was so excited to make this, I spent most of my free time working on it. The fabric I used is from a collection of vintage fabric a very nice couple gave me. Originally they had bought it to make ties out of! Instead of buying new fabric, I want to give old fabric new life 💕 It’s something that I want to continue doing moving forward with embroidery hoops. I also used felt from my own collection to hand cut these bats, which is a technique I want to explore and use in future designs. This hoop is in my shop, check out the link in my bio!🎃

The babies are up in my shop! I made these over a year ago but was hesitant to sell them. Maybe it’s because I’m excited about Galaxy’s Edge and all things Star Wars but I’ve decided to let them go. I realize now I was being too hard on myself. These are hand made and they’re not perfect. They’re each unique in their own way and deserve a good home 💕 link in my bio!

I haven’t posted any graphic design work because I’m very self conscious about it, but here it goes. I’m hoping that by posting I’ll be able to see my progress over time. This was my first project of the semester for my Graphic Design 1 class. The prompt was to create a concept (Dreamy Nostalgia)for a band and design a vinyl (front and back), gig poster, ticket, and shirt. The shirt and ticket still needs work, so I’ve only posted the vinyl and poster. I chose Springtime Carnivore as my band, and I hope Springtime Carnivore doesn’t mind ☺️ I had a lot of fun on this project! I revised many times and I’m still not done! I had tons of ideas of what to work on next in terms of embroidery but felt blocked. I just couldn’t start. Wasn’t feeling inspired. I found this backpack at a Savers for 3 dollars and figured I needed a new backpack for school and bought it. Wasn’t sure what I was going to embroider onto it, but knew I wanted to do something. I switched my major 2 years ago because I really truly love art in every form, but especially paintings. I’ve always wanted to combine my embroidery with painting and hope to do so in the near future, for now I’ll study the color and brushstrokes of one of my favorites by embroidering it onto this backpack. This is about 4 hours of work. This is gonna take a while, but it feels nice to do something for myself that is also a challenge.

Do you guys ever put off finishing a project because you’re intimidated by the next thing you want to do? That’s how I felt about these. I have so many ideas in my head, I’m always hesitant to start up something new. What if I fail? I guess I won’t know until I try, right? These come in two colors, purple and violet...kind of the same, kind of different. I think this is my favorite color variation! In the shop now!
