All you need is a couple witches and a flying monkey.

Had way too much fun with these—something about getting to go full green witch and then flipping to soft, sparkly good witch energy just hits. And the monkey?? Yeah… that one might be my favorite.

The Bowery Beauties

One of my favorite builds from Newsies—these girls brought so much life into these looks. The purple + gold combo, the fringe, the fans… everything just moves so well on stage.

Also obsessed with how each costume still feels a little different while staying super cohesive as a group.

They showed up and knew exactly what they were doing.

Shoutout to: for the Amazing Wigs she created

Two sides of Medda Larkin

Designing for Newsies gave me the chance to play with bold theatricality and soft elegance all in one character. From the rich, high-contrast plum and gold performance look to the delicate, vintage-inspired day dress, every detail was built to reflect Medda’s presence, power, and glamour on stage.

I love creating pieces that not only tell a story but transform with the character throughout the show. 💫

✨ Habit Réinventé: A Modern Take on the 18th-Century Riding Habit ✨

In the 18th century, women’s riding habits were a fascinating blend of practicality and elegance. These ensembles often borrowed from men’s tailoring—structured jackets with long skirts designed for horseback riding—while still embracing feminine flair through fabrics, trims, and lace. They symbolized both independence and refinement, enabling women to participate in outdoor pursuits while maintaining a sense of style and social status.

Inspired by these historic garments, I created a modern women’s jacket that reimagines the riding habit for today. My piece is crafted from a blue silk upholstery fabric with white dots, lined with blue glazed cotton for structure. The sleeves and collar are layered with a silver sequin mesh, adorned with custom lacework made from blue and purple cording, which is then layered over silver lace trim. The skirt is trimmed with silver ruffled sequins mesh. For closure, I used silver grommets threaded with pink satin ribbon.

This project bridges history and modern design—paying tribute to the elegance of the past while embracing contemporary creativity. #

✨ 1890s Wrapper Dress: A Touch of Victorian Luxury

Let’s take a quick stroll back to the late Victorian era. Wrapper dresses were the ultimate blend of elegance and practicality – informal gowns worn at home for breakfast, tea, or morning tasks before dressing formally for the day. They often featured dramatic sleeves, intricate collars, and stunning trims, proving that even ‘casual’ Victorian fashion was rich with beauty.

For this design, I am bringing history to life with deep red velvet as the base, accented with black velvet for the collar, flounce, piping, and sash belt. The back will feature classic Watteau pleats, creating a regal waterfall effect as you move. This blend of crimson and black velvet evokes power, mystery, and timeless drama – perfect for embodying the grandeur of the 1890s at home or on stage.
