The Oscar nomination of The Perfect Neighbor is more than recognition for cinema. It is proof that truth, pain, and courage can no longer be ignored.
Behind this nomination lives a tragedy, a stolen life, a wound that still speaks, and extraordinary women powerful enough to transform grief into testimony, memory, and a relentless call for justice.
Today I honor the victim whose story refuses to disappear, and the remarkable women who stand with dignity so the world remembers.
A special embrace to my dear Takema executive producer, courageous woman, and beloved friend, whose strength and humanity are part of this powerful journey.
It is an honor to know women who remind us that sometimes film becomes much more than art. It becomes conscience. It becomes memory. It becomes a voice for those who can no longer speak.
May God bless every woman behind this story, every voice asking for justice, and every heart brave enough to carry truth to the world.
Some nominations celebrate talent.
Others carry history.
