Mountmaking • Installation • Rigging • Consultation

Brigid Mountmaking is a collaboration between three mountmakers committed to designing and fabricating unobtrusive artifact mounts with a deep respect for object safety. We are experienced with finding solutions for seismic-mitigating, traveling, and theft-deterring mounts as well as custom mannequins, textiles displays, and the fabrication of a

crylic book mounts. We work in a variety of materials, including brass, steel, and acrylic, and are able to design and fabricate onsite or template objects and return for fittings. Whether managing large museum-wide installations or working on a single object for a collector, we bring the highest level of care to every object.

We were very excited to represent our company and all mountmakers today at Industry Day at the National Museum of the US Navy. It was a great opportunity to talk with vendors from every industry required to build a new museum. Big thanks to NMUSN for inviting us to participate. We loved seeing some of our favorite conservators, exhibits fabricators, designers and beyond. As contractors, this the kind of engagement our industry needs to create the best experience for a new museums!

Sharing again to boost support for our colleague and dear friend. There is a lot of uncertainty in the world right now and we aren’t always able to give our financial support but a share can mean so much. Museums are so important and they need good people to be there to do the good work. ❤️

It has always been our privilege to work along side the mountmakers at the Getty. They have taught us so much about our craft and been generous with their time and knowledge. Over the years they have become more than colleagues and have become family. We are sharing this now to help someone we genuinely love and respect. The added privilege would be helping two of the sweetest, most deserving pups out there. If you aren’t able to help please share in their honor. ❤️

It’s been a pretty amazing week working with the Dallas/Ft Worth branch of Crozier/formerly DFAS teaching an intensive in the basics of Mountmaking. They have some pretty incredible preps/art handlers/fab folks….just straight up talented people wearing many hats as makers. Grateful that they see the value in what we do and so excited to share with them! 🔥🔥
