Apparently rowels on spurs originated in France or Spain in the 10th Century A.D. This pair is heavy Iron, brass other metal. They are 11 long in total, and the rowel is 5 1/2 in diameter. They are quite ornate and have some wear, i.e. missing round small decorative beads, one point/spoke on one

This stout little fella is all tacked out and ready to go! Hes in great condition (see photos) is 5 1/2 long x 2 1/2 wide x 4 1/2 tall with a star brass medallion on the breast collar. Has original label (corner missing) If you love Melba Ware, horses and vintage figurines this is a fine example of
