What else do you do at the end of an epic vacation when you have a two day trip on the train home and a 7 hour layover in Chicago? You head to the nearest pizza place which was for some deep dish pizza. And wine of course. 😂🍕🍷

Last two full days before leaving we had a couple great rides. First we rode Rock Springs Bench on mules that challenged me. Lots of steep up and downs but my mule Frank took care of me. Then today did a ride in Kodachrome Basin State Park. A beautiful and relaxing ride. A few uphills that my horse Rocky loved to trot up. I’m really shocked I am not sore. Then a nice final hike in the park on a trail called Angels Palace. That had some of the most spectacular views when we reached the top. On the way down I snapped a photo of a cactus to keep for my future ideas of crocheting. This has been one awesome adventure with my good friend. We have learned a lot, laughed a ton, reminisced about high school days and even learned new things about each other. We missed our hubbys terribly and our animals but this was a trip we are glad we took and will remember always. Grabbing the moment now because tomorrow is not promised. Already planning our next adventure. 😊

Yesterday was travel day to Bryce. Today we rode on mules for the first time and it was pretty cool. My mules name is Frank. After we hiked some then popped into an antique store in a little town. This trip has been such an adventure and so looking forward to the rest of the week.

Hackberry trail so awesome. Hiked 8.5 miles to Watson’s cabin. Other than the first mile starting and the last mile to the cabin it was all walking in a small creek. Kept us cool in this hot weather. Had so much fun doing this. At the nd my shoes were nothing but water and sand. 🤪

Breakfast each morning starts with coffee. Down day today. Maybe a short hike later.

We rode Buckskin Gulch today and saw some awesome scenery. Saw some petroglyphs as well. Tomorrow is down day for riding but will be doing some hiking.
