NEW IN THE SHOP! After quite a debacle with FedEx losing/delivering to an unknown address and some production delays, we finally have this yarn in stock! Ito Sensai is a luxurious silk-mohair blend yarn that pairs well with another fi*****ng yarn (silk, wool, you name it!) and also stands on its own for those luxurious lacey shawls you might be dreaming about. Great for knitting or crochet (we haven't woven with it yet), we have a variety of fall-inspired colors as well as some wonderfully bright summer colors because, well, we still have one week left of unofficial summer. Check them out on our website and look for them at our upcoming fairs. https://www.considered-cloth.com/product-page/ito-sensai-silk-mohair-yarn

Introducing Ito Kinu yarn. This lovely silk yarn is great for all those summer knits, usually kitted 2 together, it has great drape, and is very durable. What I love best about this yarn is how you can combine two colors together for subtle color changes or rich color moments. Check out our collection online or in person!

June is right around the corner, and we are trying to make it a jam-packed, fun-filled month!

Come hang out with us every Wednesday evening at a rotating park location throughout Chicago for our Potholder Potluck Picnic. Cost is $30 per event and includes all materials and use of the loom to make 2 potholders.

Interested in learning a few things about tapestry? Join us at The Dropped Stitch on Thursday, June 18 and 25 from 6-7:30 pm. The cost is $95 and includes a little loom, weaving tools, and warp thread. Just bring all those pesky leftover yarn balls you have lying around to make your own work of art!

And, finally, the last event before we take the month of July off, Natural Dye Day on June 27th. This outdoor event offers a wonderful peek into natural dyeing and the rich colors you can obtain from local plants. Registration is $60 and includes a variety of fabrics and a wee bit of yarn to dye, three colors to explore, and a wonderful array of resources.
