I love the early photos from the Folkwear archives. The black and white images and the styling evoke romanticism and imagination. These are all of 203 Edwardian Underthings, this month's featured pattern (last photo also has 102 French Cheesemaker's Smock).

We are still showing off the amazing makes that were sent to us during our Handwork Contest in April/May. The 142 Old Mexico Dress is always a favorite. A great canvas for embroidery (and we have a Mexican embroidery pattern that can be used too). We loved seeing these and hearing from customers who had attended the Mexican embroidery class. And who said this was one of the most comfortable shirts to wear in the summer (I agree!). So check out what everyone made and let me know if you've made this top!

If you are loving our new 149 Norwegian Busserull pattern, you should check out our 102 French Cheesemaker's Smock! It is another European folk work shirt, that traditionally was made with a striped fabric, worn for farm work, and has a neck placket. These work shirts are boxy and comfortable, and not hard to sew! The 107 Afghan Dress is a perfect canvas for creativity -- mixed fabrics, embroidery, sh**ha, beading, and more. And we got some gorgeous entries of this dress for our Handwork Contest last month. This incredible beaded and embroidered dress, then a dress with hand applique and quilting (with metallic thread), and finally a beautiful white on white embroidery with sh**ha embroidery with silver coins from around the world. So much creativity! So beautiful.
