ONE YEAR OF REDEEMED RAGS 💕🌈
As I look back over this past year, I can’t help but think about one of the days that really helped kick off Redeemed Rags.
Before I ever really knew what I was doing (and honestly, I’m still figuring it out as I go 😂), I had several sweet friends offer to help me do a photoshoot for Redeemed Rags. We had a plan, outfits, people ready to help… and then at the last minute, our original plan fell through.
I remember not knowing what we were going to do.
But God.
My sweet friend Jalana Gomez Photography had offered to help, and then another amazing friend Kim Nelson, asked her dad -Edgar Slaten if we could use his antique Volkswagen cars for the pictures.
Y’all… what started as a plan falling apart turned into something even better than I could have imagined.
Those cars were AMAZING, and we had the absolute best time that day. But what I remember most wasn’t even the pictures.
It was the conversations.
Kim’s dad shared his testimony with us, told us about his trip to the Holy Land, and even shared about his shofar. It was one of those days where you just knew God had orchestrated every little detail.
Looking back now, I realize what a blessing that day truly was. Not only did we get some of my favorite Redeemed Rags pictures, but I was surrounded by people who believed in me and were willing to give their time and talents to help me get something started when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
That’s one of the things I will never forget about this journey.
Redeemed Rags may have started with a dream in my heart, but God used so many people along the way to help bring it to life.
And a year later, I am still so incredibly thankful. 💕
These pictures will always hold a special place in my heart because of the memories behind them.
Sometimes when our plans fall apart, God is just making room for something better.
