Meet Marilyn — a lifelong maker whose creativity shows no signs of slowing down.
Born and raised in Jamestown, NY, Marilyn has lived all over the country and now calls Florida home. While age may have slowed her pace, it’s never quieted the creative urge that keeps her working on two or three art projects at any given time.
She’s always considered herself a crafter, but today Marilyn describes her work as experimental art — driven by curiosity, imagination, and a love of trying something new (even if she doesn’t know where it will lead).
Her lifelong passion is miniatures and dollhouse creations — the tinier, the better. From a copper cappuccino machine made with hardware-store plumbing pieces to “Tiffany lamps” crafted from gumball machine domes, Marilyn finds magic in unexpected materials.
More recently, she’s explored fluid art, creating poured paintings, ornaments, jewelry, bookmarks, and magnets. This year, she took on sculptural work — designing lawn totems, flowers, and mushrooms using thrifted glassware and found objects.
Still going strong. Still creating. And still (mostly) staying out of trouble.
