But sometimes you fight to resurrect things that died a long time ago
Sometimes you fight for peace in situations that have brought you nothing but chaos
Sometimes you fight to be understood by people who have no interest in understanding anyone but themselves
Sometimes you fight for closure that you’re never gonna receive
Sometimes being a “fighter” does nothing but leave you immensely more hurt, damaged, and broken
Sometimes fighting, in terms of strength, is giving up

The world is mostly gray. If you’re telling yourself there always has to be a right or wrong, good or bad, winner or loser, etc… you’re doing yourself an injustice.
Black and white thinkers often hide behind self-preservation, hypocrisy, double standards, inflated egos, selfishness, and one track minds. They refuse to see things outside of their own pinhole view of the world.
Grays will support you through the dark times and celebrate you through the good. Grays understand that the vast majority of us aren’t inherently good or bad. Grays believe in forgiveness and second chances. Setbacks happen and mistakes are inevitable. We aren’t defined by our mistakes — we are defined by taking accountability for our mistakes, seeking help when needed, and turning our mistakes into lessons/growth.
Black and whites may not allow for growth and may invalidate any progress you make while the grays will love you through it.
