On June 15, 1901, the Old Stone Fort in Nacogdoches was sold. Soon after, one of the oldest landmarks in Texas was dismantled in the name of progress.

Today, a replica stands at Stephen F. Austin State University, built with original materials.

Old Norse wisdom still speaks to modern life.

Hávamál 5 reminds us that wandering far takes more than courage. It takes wisdom, humility, and the ability to hold your own among men who have lived, worked, struggled, and learned.

The lesson is simple.

If you plan to go out into the world, do not go empty-headed.

Strength matters.

Heritage matters.

But wisdom is what keeps a man from making a fool of himself.

One thing that's surprised me since starting Texas Rune Forge...
The best-selling design hasn't been one of the big graphic shirts.
It hasn't been the Longhorn Viking.
It hasn't been Raven & Spear.
It's been the Texas Rune Forge logo shirt.
Honestly, that means a lot.
Because when someone buys the logo shirt, they're not just buying a design. They're supporting the idea behind the brand.
They're supporting Texas pride, heritage, self-reliance, and the community we're building together.
For everyone who's supported Texas Rune Forge so far, thank you.
It means more than you know.
Hail Texas!

On March 2, 1836, delegates at Washington-on-the-Brazos declared that the people of Texas were no longer merely subjects of a distant power.

They were “a free, sovereign, and independent republic.”

Texas pride begins with remembering moments like this. Not as empty slogans, but as history. Real people, real danger, real consequences, and a declaration that changed the future of this land.
