I want to share a pattern with anyone who crochets. I will have pictures up for the pattern shortly.
Size for roughly 3t but can easily add more rounds to main body to make a bigger size. I will be experimenting with different hooks and yarn types to see what I can do to make smaller sizes.
I used worsted weight yarn and a size L (us 8.00) hook.
Chain 6, join with a ss to form a round
Round 1: ch 2, dc in same chain as the ch 2. 2 dc in each st around
Round 2: ch 2 (counts as first sc and ch 1) *sc in next dc, ch 1* around, join with ss to first ch.
Round 3: ch 2, 2 dc in next ch sp. *dc in next sc, 2 dc in next ch sp* around. End with ss to begining ch 2.
Round 4: ch 1, sc in same sp as ch 1, *ch 4, sk next dc, sc in next dc* around. End with ch 4 and ss into first sc.
Round 5. ss into ch 4 sp, ch 1, sc, ch 4 all in same ch 4 sp. *sc into next ch 4 sp, ch 4* around. End with ch 4 and ss into first sc.
Round 6: ss into ch 4 sp, ch 1, sc, ch 3, all in same ch 4 sp. *sc into next ch 4 sp, ch 3* repeat around, end with ch 3 and ss into first sc.
Round 7: ch 2, *3 dc in next ch 3 sp, 1 dc in next sc* repeat around, end with ss into beginig ch 2
Round 8: ch 2, 17 dc in next 17 dc, ch 18, sk next 18 dc, 18 dc in next 18 dc. ch 18, sk next 18 dc, join with ss into begining ch 2. (ch 18's create arm holes)
Round 9: ch 4 (counts as first sc and ch 3) *sk next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3* around, end with ch 3 and ss into first ch of the ch 4.
Round 10: ss into next ch 3 sp, ch 1, 1 sc all in same ch 3 sp *1 sc in next ch 3 sp, ch 3* around. End with ch 3 and ss into first sc.
Round 11: ss into next ch 3 sp, ch 1, 1sc all in same ch 3 sp. *1 sc in next ch 3 sp, ch 4* around. End with ch 4 and ss into first sc.
Round 12: ss into next ch 4 sp, ch 1, 2 sc, ch 3 in same ch 4 sp. *2 sc in next ch 4 sp, ch 3* repeat around ending with ch 3 and ss into first sc.
Round 13: ss into next ch 3 sp, ch 1, 1 sc, in same ch 3 sp. *ch 4, 1 sc in next ch 3 sp* repeat around ending with ch 4 and ss into first sc.
Round 14: ss into next ch 4 sp, ch 1, 1 sc, all in same ch 4 sp. *ch 3, 1 sc in next ch 4 sp* repeat around ending with a ss into first sc.
If doing border in a different color this is where you will change yarns.

Round 3: ch 3, 2 dc in same st as ch 3. *ch 3, sk next ch 3 sp, sc in next ch 5 sp, 9 dc in next ch 5 sp, sc in next ch 5 sp, ch 3, sk next ch 3 sp, 3 dc in next sc* Work around ending with ss in first ch 3.

Sk ch 1 sp, sk 1 sc, ss into first sc. Fasten off and weave in any tails.
Ties (make 2) (optional)
Ch 36
Turn and sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. fasten off leaving long tails for sewing.
Attach ties to row 1 of the border rows. I attached them so they line up with the tops of the arm holes. Weave in ends.
