Vintage 1970s Boho Outfit Set * Suede Mini Skirt, Floral Shirt, Necklace & Anuschka Purse

1970s boho ensemble featuring rich earth tones and whimsical details.

Includes:

1) Brown suede wrap-style mini skirt with brass-tone buckle
2) White cotton button-up shirt with lavender floral print and oversized 70s collar
3) Gold-tone statement necklace with modernist pendant
4) Hand-painted Anuschka leather butterfly purse

Condition: Good vintage condition overall. The shirt has holes on the upper backside of the left sleeve. Other pieces show light, age-appropriate wear.

Size: Best fits a modern 4-6.

This morning, I said goodbye to Wagoner.

Exactly sixty days ago, we lost his brother, Porter. They had never known life apart, and I don't think Wagoner ever understood where Porter had gone. He searched for him in every room, lost interest in everything except finding the friend he'd loved his whole life. I believe some bonds are so deep that when one half is gone, the other simply follows.

I am heartbroken, but mostly grateful.

My grandfather gave me this quote many years ago, "Every boy should have two things: a dog, and a mother willing to let him have one."

Looking back, I believe one of the greatest gifts I gave Jack was a childhood measured in dogs. Dogs who listened without judgment, offered comfort without being asked, and loved with their whole hearts.

For the first time since 1999, there won't be a dog waiting for me at the door when I go home tonight. 💔

Porter and Wagoner were worth every muddy paw print, every shed hair, every worry, and every tear. The sorrow is heavy today, but it exists only because the love was so great.

And what a privilege that love was.

Thank you, everyone, for the thoughtful wishes yesterday. I've never been much for celebrating my own birthday. My preferred approach is usually to hide quietly until the attention passes.

That said, I've been informed that 53 is the age when carrying a Kleenex in your sleeve is considered practical, discussing your fiber intake is normal conversation, your purse contains emergency Juicy Fruit and saltines, every story begins with, "Now, I don't know if they still do this...", and every ache is simply dismissed as "a touch of arthritis."

Apparently, I'm right on schedule!
