One of those full-heart weekends.🫶🏻
Parenting can be beautiful, exhausting, rewarding, messy, and draining…sometimes all in the same day. I think it’s okay to say that out loud.
Some days you give so much of yourself that there’s not much left in the tank. Then there are nights like the one I had this weekend, sitting across from your child at dinner, and somehow your heart gets filled right back up again.
My daughter was off on her own weekend adventures, and I got this time with my son. Just us. No agenda. No phones. Just dinner and a lot of laughing.
Parenting isn’t always easy. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. These are the moments that remind me why.
If you’re starting this week already feeling poured out, this is your reminder, the cup refills. Usually when you least expect it.
