Happy Humbug Day! Today we participated in Humbug Day at Malakoff Diggins State Park, demonstrating traditional fiber arts and teaching visitors about how wool is transformed into clothing.
We also enjoyed “the shortest parade in the world”, clogging, live music, and more Gold Rush fun.

We had a great time at Truckee Farm Day yesterday! Second and third graders from the region participated in learning about different aspects of agriculture and conservation. At our booth, they learned about plant and animal fibers and how they become clothing, with a touch station and demonstrations of spinning and weaving.
