How Refreshing - A New Year...

Another year emerges, bubbling up, unsuspecting and hopeful
Springing up like fresh, clean, cold water from a fountain
But instead, out of the shallow, murky puddle of this year past
And now, the resolutions, like rain, shower down
Droplets that dilute and cut through all the greasy residue
Of three-hundred sixty-five thick, sticky days gone by

PARENTS, be encouraged - Typically, it's not THIS DIFFICULT to have a discussion about DREAMS with your kids!!! **Remember: READ BOOKS AT BEDTIME and DIALOGUE ABOUT DREAMS in the morning!!! (Practice makes perfect...Communication is key.)

We all have at one point.

Hip-Hip-HOOOOOORRAY!!!!! Tresca & Jay were invited to visit with over 120 "Little Dreamers" at Village Kids Child Care & Preschool in Greensboro, NC! Commemorating the new release of Read Me A Lullaby: Birthday Party (Book Three), Penn Inc Publishing transformed the Village Kids cafeteria into a CELEBRATION STATION! Balloons, festive decorations, and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY song sing-along...it was truly PARTY TIME! Tresca shared READ ME A LULLABY: Birthday Party; Jay spun blindfolded children around as they played pin-the-(Velcro) tail-on-the-(inflatable) donkey; The Penningtons created "Balloon Buddies" with each child to "take home to show Mom"; of course, they brought Happy Dream Sheets™ and crayons - their signature activity for sparking each child's thoughts of their own happiest dreams; after discussing the children's Happy Birthday Happy Dreams, they passed around Happy Dream Rings™ to EVERYONE…SURPRISE!!!

DID YOU KNOW: The ocean covers 71 percent of the Earth's surface and contains 97 percent of the planet's water, yet more than 95 percent of the underwater world remains unexplored!?!?

Tying in with those facts AND in honor of next week's Earth Day, Tresca & Jay were invited to visit with over 80 SECOND-GRADERS at Alamance Elementary in Greensboro, NC! They brought some slimy, realistic sea creatures for the kids to touch; a giant seashell for the kids to listen & hear the ocean inside; a cool layer-the-colors sand art craft that they constructed with each child to "take home to show Mom"; and of course, they brought Happy Dream Sheets™ and crayons - their signature activity for sparking each child's thoughts of their own happiest dreams...

OH YEAH!! And (duh) Tresca shared READ ME A LULLABY: Beach Trip, before handing out bookmarks and Happy Dream Rings™ to EVERYONE!
