The Nestled Wren was inspired by my two energetic, fun loving children, Fisher and Claren. After the birth of my daughter last year, my passion for children's clothing grew. I knew that I wanted to start and grow something of my own. I wanted to be a part of the design process and wanted to concentrate on making fun clothing with exceptional quality that people, like myself, could afford. I am s
triving to offer a good selection of clothing made here in the USA, therefore, ensuring superior quality clothing. A little about me and my plans. I am currently a nurse in the NICU and have been for almost ten years. I love my babies and what I am able to do for them. When I decided to start this business I knew that I wanted to give back to the babies to help further assist their needs individually. Therefore, when you make a purchase for the one you love, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes. Not only will your little one benefit but so will another beautiful baby! How did I get the name for the business? Well, that is simple. Wren is derived from my daughter's name, Claren. I was born and raised in SC and the Carolina Wren is our state bird. In researching the wren bird, I read these statements which confirmed to me that I liked the symbolic meaning of the name. "The wren is quite sociable. She reminds us to keep a happy heart and be kind to others. The wren may be tiny, but she packs a powerful symbolic message, encouraging us to go beyond the realm of the "known" and to access the adventure that waits for us!" Nestled means to "lie comfortably within or against something". I believe we can all relate to that with our babies! Put it all together and you have, "The Nestled Wren". Last but not least, I want to thank God for this opportunity. I would like to share one of my favorite verses that I have leaned on a lot over the last few months in starting this venture. Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
