From Vallauris, France and now available in my Etsy shop—a rare vintage ceramic "People of the World" thermometer plaque by the legendary French ceramicist, Roger Capron.

This signed piece features a whimsical procession of richly textured figural faces rendered in Capron's unmistakable style. Equal parts sculpture, wall art, and functional design, it captures the creativity and craftsmanship that made Capron one of the most celebrated names in postwar French ceramics.

The warm earthy palette, intricate incised decoration, and charming folk-art influence make this an exceptional statement piece for any Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or collector-focused interior.

A rare find and one of my favorite recent acquisitions.
