Rachel the owner here— I’ve probably been asked 100 times how I’m feeling about the store closing this week. It’s bittersweet as an owner, for sure, to close a store that’s been open for 4.5 years. I was more on the sweet, than the bitter… and then tonight I remembered why I started this journey 6 years ago. The connections. The community. Each child’s first pair of shoes. Each mom who nursed their child in that chair. Each parent who I helped celebrate a potty training milestone from the bathroom.
YOU ALL reading this are my why.
So tonight when Otis’s grandma reached out, with a sad cat momma who couldn’t get to bed, I threw on my flip flops, and I drove to the store at 8pm in my pjs to make sure Otis got to sleep with his mom tonight. That is my why. That has always been my why. And that is what I will miss more than anything.
Tomorrow is the last day yall. 10-6. Come out and buy everything up at 75% off so me and my lovely staff members don’t have to do any extra work to pack anything on Sunday.
