Hello, just want to introduce myself to my new followers 😊👋
I'm Sarah.
And this is one of my kiddos, Ariella.❤️
We took an impromptu mirror selfie after church.
She's wearing one of my favorite bow headbands I made two years ago when I first started and I'm wearing one of my most popular headband/Scrunchie combo in Olive.
I started Bows+Dinos unofficially back in 2019 when I realized how hard It was to find boy accessories while shopping for my infant son. I made him beanies and made bows for my daughter.
My best friend told me I did a good job and could probably sell them. Half jokingly, I said to her if I did, I'd call it "Bows and Dinos. Bows meaning girls. And Dinos meaning boys, and because it rhymes". She told me she really liked the name. 🤔
But I was too scared to start... Until Christmas 2022. I sewed my two girls their Christmas gifts, some whimsical capes because they loved to dress up and play make-believe 😍
It was then that I decided... I think I'm ready.
I've had so much fun doing this. But I wanted to do more than just sew cute things for mama's and kiddos... I knew I wanted to be conscious of consumerism and Sustainability.
So, i thrift fabrics and upcycle my materials. Or at least most of them, working towards being 100% upcycled. This slows down the waste timeline, prolonging something ending up in the trash. Hopefully never though. 👉👈😅
