My three amigos ❤️ Every year for the kids winter break we head to the snow. Since Porter was 1 we’ve had this tradition. With all the changes over this last year I’m so grateful for the consistency of this trip and all the feelings it brings. Thank you Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, Autograph Collection for an amazing couple days. 🎄

We’ve talked a lot about changing the way we do Christmas. Every year we go through the “what do you WANT for Christmas vs what do you NEED” the reality is the things we treasure most are the memories we make together while we are out experiencing life. This year we decided we would get our boys a few things and do stockings. The main presents for us and for them would be a vacation/experiences. These are things that they won’t grow out of or get sick of playing with, memories we all get to share together. Thank you The Resort At Pelican Hill for always being there when we want to enjoy something special. Stay tuned for more of our “presents” through the New Year.

Tomorrow we have a big pool day planned. That’s right, December 23rd the second day of winter we will be poolside at our favorite place The Resort At Pelican Hill Fleee is stoked about it. 🎄🌴☀️

In hindsight I was definitely channeling some Sopranos s**t. 😳 Whatever, the kid has to know what the real world is like, at least in New Jersey and NYC.

I hope when my son is in elementary school he remembers important s**t like how to spell osmosis on a spelling test, just like the way he remembers the most random s**t as a 4 year old. Like the ONE time his elf was zip lining last year with a bag of skittles, which he’s asked/reminded me about every day since this little dude came back. So here ya go kid, the highlight of your elf memories. You’re welcome. Goodnight.

Something about writing Christmas cards makes me feel all the feels. Maybe it’s the lost art of hand writing a letter that makes giving and receiving them so special. I’m in love with the cards they are all so beautiful and unique. Stop by the American Greetings section at your neighborhood Walmart . After I had Porter I had so much anxiety about meeting Mom friends. People would say, “oh just go to the park and you’ll meet other Moms” I remember thinking what am I going to say? “Heyyyyyy I see you had a baby, I had a baby too, what’s up.” 🙈 Luckily my son is a pretty rad wingman and we find the good ones. Grateful to have this wonderful fam to have adventures with us over the years. ⛄️❤️🎅🏼
