We are ready for summer ☀️

And our headbands are the perfect addition to the summer rompers. I actually almost sold out of them the last two markets. I only have one left and not sure yet if we’re going to be making more. It’s been harder to get the fabrics for them, so they might not be back this year. I honestly wasn’t a big fan of them at first but now I think I’ll miss them. We prefer these over all the other headbands and bows we got for her.

First market done 👏🏻
Thank you to everyone who came out to say hi and/or shop with us. We really appreciate all the support. It was pretty cold but we had a good day.

As always I completely forgot to take any pictures or videos. But Maddie did her first market and did really well. Though it was definitely more stressful to do it all with a new baby.

Now we have 2 more weeks to prepare for the Peony Festival. Still need to finish up a ton of products that are just sitting around in my house. My goal is to finish up a ton of rompers, dresses and un**es but we’ll see how much I can actually get done in the next couple of weeks.

Only a few more days until my first market. Usually the last week before a market I am super busy trying to finish a ton of inventory. So far this week has looked a lot different than I would have liked. Baby has her first sickness and only wants to be on my chest, day and night. Which is all cool except I can’t get any work done that way. Trying not to stress too much about, but if you come see us in Zionsville this Saturday and I don’t have something in your size or print, just ask. There’s a very high chance I have it and just didn’t get to finish it. I have so many unfinished products in my piles right now and just won’t get to all of them.

Good thing he loves me 😅
I’m always putting him to work. He gets to iron, pick my fabrics, lift all the heavy stuff and help with market days. And on top of that he gets to pay for all of it too. Must be fun being married to me 🤪🙈

It’s summer romper season 🙌🏻
It’s finally warm enough for short sleeves. These rompers were a fan favorite last summer and we are so excited that we finally get to try them out ourselves. With our first I had just started to make clothes and wasn’t confident enough to make rompers. By the time I was making them, she was already in underwear and couldn’t wear them anymore. So this time around we’re going to use ALL the rompers.

Yesterday I got to experience one of those little blessings. A mom I connected with online came over so I could work. Her little girl played with ours and she was just holding the baby. Didn’t expect anything in return. I had just talked to her about my business and how hard it was to get work done while having to hold the baby. So she showed up. I thought maybe she’d stay for an hour and when I checked with her after an hour had passed, she simply said “I thought we could stay for another hour or so. I really wanted to make sure you could get some work done” 😭

So yeah, this world is messed up in so many ways and sometimes it feels like you can’t even watch the news anymore. It’s pretty depressing. But there is also so much goodness you can still find. Don’t get discouraged. Kind people are out there changing the world and making it a better place.

What a crazy day. Got my products featured on a local TV station today. Absolute dream come true. So so thankful for Melissa Panszi Riebe|A D’Zine|Artisan-made one-of-a-kind Jewelry who made it possible.

Also 3 fun things about this reel
- hid from the kids in the laundry room this morning to film it
- I said yall, never do that and immediately wondered where that came from 😅
- I was so emotional by the last video I started crying right after recording it

A few days ago I was talking to someone about my business and I mentioned that most of my work is done in 5-10 minute increments these days. Doesn’t sound like I’d actually get much done then but 5 minutes add up and I’ve learned to do a lot of things one handed. It’s hard though. I wish I had more time to dedicate to sewing right now, especially with trying to have a ton of inventory for my markets. But the days with her being so little are so so short, so I’m trying to enjoy them and soak them up as much as I can. Someday she won’t need me to hold her anymore and I’m gonna miss it.
