This month, we honor the pioneers who paved the way and the leaders who continue to move us forward.
At Nelly De Active, we celebrate resilience, strength, and progress, on and off the field.

This goes beyond performance apparel.
Movement isn’t just physical, it’s mental and personal.

Strength without discipline leads to burnout.
Motion without purpose leads nowhere.
That’s why so many look strong but feel stuck.

ND Active exists for those rebuilding themselves through movement.
How you train.
How you focus.
How you show up, daily.

This isn’t about comfort.
It’s about consistency.
It’s about progress earned, not given.

Built to move.
Built to last.
Built from resilience.

Oscar Robertson

Before the NBA spotlight, greatness was built in Indianapolis gyms.

Oscar Robertson trained at Crispus Attucks High School, where discipline, conditioning, and mental toughness shaped a future legend.

Movement created mastery, long before the cameras arrived.

Before track was televised.
Before women had equal lanes.

Marjorie Turner Hollins ran anyway.

An Indianapolis native who represented the U.S. on the 1960 Olympic stage, proving that speed, strength, and discipline don't wait for permission.

Major Taylor

Born in Indianapolis in 1878, Major Taylor became the first Black world cycling champion 🚲 in 1899, setting 7 world records, despite being banned from many races because of his race.

Cycling demands endurance, discipline, and mental toughness, qualities he trained daily just to be allowed to compete.

Every mile you push is bigger than fitness. It’s legacy.

Athlete: Can I skip today’s run?
Coach: Of course.

Athlete: What about two days?
Coach: That’s still your choice.

Athlete: A whole week—just because I don’t feel like it?
Coach: No one’s stopping you.

Athlete: Can I train only when I’m in the mood?
Coach: You can.

Athlete: Then what’s the limit?
Coach: Your expectations.

You can’t ask for progress without consistency.
You can’t show up on race day powered by “only when I felt like it.”

Comfort is always available—but it never builds the runner you want to become.
Strength is built on the days you choose effort over excuses.

Every skipped run is a quiet vote for staying exactly where you are.
