It’s Throwback Thursday at The Cozy Mouse Crochet, and today I’m digging into the studio archives to share a massive project bundle that had my hook flying and my streams buzzing—my plush Dino Chicken Nugget Pillows! 🤩🐭🧶

I had an absolute blast forming this entire crispy squad. I managed to hunt down a beautifully textured blanket yarn that perfectly captures that signature, fresh-out-of-the-box golden-brown finish. We've got the whole prehistoric collection right here: the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Brontosaurus, Pterodactyl, and even the Parasaurolophus! 🦕✨

It’s Fun Friday at The Cozy Mouse Crochet! 🐭💜

Look, I love my family, my friends, and my clients... but the absolute second a custom plushie is finished, a protective shield goes up. 🛡️🧶

Do not breathe on it. Do not look at it too hard. And most importantly: NO TOUCHY. 🙅‍♀️

After spending hours using the softest plush yarn to perfect every single stitch, watching someone approach it with a cup of coffee or sticky hands is a jump scare like no other! 😅

It’s Throwback Thursday at The Cozy Mouse Crochet, and today I’m looking back at one of the most special projects to ever come off my hook—this plush unicorn made for my sweet niece! 🥰🐭🧶

I had so much fun stitching this cutie up! This friend was brought to life using the beautiful Mini Poppy the Unicorn pattern by the incredibly talented Nicole Chase.

📝 My Workstation Custom Adjustments:
Since I love modifying layouts to maximize that cozy factor, I made a few alterations to scale her up from the original mini design:

The Hook Swap: The pattern originally called for a 4.0 mm hook, but since I didn't own one, I size-up customized it with a 6.5 mm hook and super-soft blanket yarn!

The Eyes: I upgraded to oversized 20 mm safety eyes (instead of the pattern's suggested 16 mm) to give her the sweetest, most expressive gaze.

The Mane: I just couldn't resist adding extra density and layers to the mane to make those lavender curls extra bouncy and thick!

Watching a bundle of plush yarn transform into a one-of-a-kind treasure for someone you love is the best part of this maker life. I'm currently hunkered down finishing up this week's custom queue orders, but seeing this throwback always brings a smile to my face!

Sundays are for getting lost in a good graphghan. 🧶💛

Spent the afternoon tucked into the couch, working through these color changes with my favorite Charlie Brown tumbler by my side. Dealing with all these yarn tails is definitely a labor of love, but watching the design finally start to peek through makes it completely worth it!

It’s Throwback Thursday at The Cozy Mouse Crochet, and today I’m looking back at one of my absolute favorite wearable projects—this vibrant cocoon cardigan!

Swipe through to see the journey of this piece! It all started as a massive, perfectly measured granny square layout as seen in images. From there, the magic happens in the folding and seaming process to get that signature diamond cocoon shape.

There is truly nothing better than seeing a pile of yarn transform into a beautifully draped, wearable piece of art that you can literally wrap yourself up in. The transition from bright sunshine yellow to deep royal blue and teal gives it such a fun, bold energy!

I am currently hunkered down at the workstation putting the final touches on this week's custom orders, but I had to drop this little dose of color on your feed today.
