The Wild Wild Pussycats WIP part 2: Paws and Petticoats!
After everything was planned out digitally, we moved onto by far the hardest part of the build: the paws. Each paw pad was embroidered individually and took around 20 minutes each to prep, embroider, and swap out. There were 36 fingers/palm pads, so around 12 straight hours of embroidery. Each paw was completely handsewn, so we finished these in around 4 work days.
The petticoats were much, much simpler (ruffler foot my beloved) but were still a massive endeavor, as each one has conservatively 16 yards of hand-hemmed color coded trim and 12 handsewn snap connections for the skirt. Overall we were so happy with how these turned out!
