host it's annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: 5K Walk/Run Against Domestic Violence. All proceeds supports the work of Sisters Empowerment Network, Inc. The event take place on the 3rd Saturday i October during domestic violence awareness month. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a symbolic gesture of the community walking and running to raise awareness and money on the issue of violence against women. The

Walk gives the community the opportunity to publicly take a stand on the issues of violence against women and children; it shows that men are also willing to stand together with women in making the world a safer place for everyone. By taking part in the pledged Walk, you will be making a statement that violence against women and children; it shows that men are willing to stand together with women in making the world a safer place for all women and children. By taking part in the pledged Walk, you will be making a statement that violence against women and children is not just a women's issue - it's EVERYBODY'S BUSINESS and must be solved by the entire community. Online Registration for Walk/Runners is now close however, you can still come out to register in person $35 or simply join us for the unity in the community post-rally. Free hotdogs and snacks provided. We hope to see you there to help convey the message that domestic violence is not tolerated in our communities!
