Peter Dinklage has been using his platform to talk about something that gets overlooked way too often: the reality facing shelter animals.
The Game of Thrones star has spent years working alongside animal welfare groups to push a really straightforward message "adopt, don't shop". He's been calling out the commercial breeding industry and warning people against buying pets on impulse, especially when shelters across the US and UK are completely overwhelmed.
To put it into perspective, millions of dogs and cats end up in shelters every single year, and a heartbreaking number of them are euthanized simply because there isn't enough space or families to take them in. Dinklage, who owns a rescue dog himself, keeps pointing out that every time someone buys from a breeder, a shelter animal misses out on a home.
