Something that was not on my childhood bingo card growing up in Seattle area, was purchasing a BLACKBERRY bush from a nursery to on PURPOSE! Grow blackberries in my yard😳

I added a yellow flower that just popped up in my wild acre lot. I’m obsessed with it but have no clue what it is. Also the purple flower grows in my treeline, they are prickly but BEAUTIFUL! Assuming they are both wild and I’m here for it.

It’s still early to plant here in Missouri, I should wait until after Mothers Day.. but I’m tired of waiting!!!!!!! Plus lots of warm rain coming our way this weekend. 🤞

Plant 🌱 update: planters filled! We got lavender, sage, basil, tomatoes, garlic chives, onions, lemon balm, strawberries, lemon grass, dill & cilantro seeds

Still working on my big raised bed. My artichokes will be going in there, they are very happy in their pots for now.

Spring is here! Sometimes we have to make up our own traditions living here in the Midwest. There are no flowers 💐 for crowns, we can’t really plant anything yet..

Still we can see the earth 🌍 slowly waking up!

We celebrated the Spring Equinox with a bon fire, tea party and some good Ol’ feral fun. We did throw wildflower seeds around my property, and did an egg ritual which gave us a bit of Spring vibes. I decorated as Spring like as I could which gave stark contrast to the brownness around us.
