More fun news to share!!!!

At the Crazy Quilters Show this past weekend our members were well represented. Jody Goswitz won 2 Blue Ribbons and a viewers choice. Pat Richman, quilted by Denise Deneen won a Second Place. Mary Hiemke, quilted by Terry Gilman got a Third Place. The group Comfort Quilt got a Second Place.

Congrats to all!! Beautiful work!!

Hey Quilting Friends!

Friendly reminder to iron and starch your fabrics BEFORE cutting your blocks to prevent stretching, fraying, and shrinkage for more accurate, stable pieces, especially important for bias edges and smaller units.
Always starch completely, let it dry, then press with a hot iron for crisp, stable fabric that's a dream to cut and sew.

Quick Starch Tips:

Saturate: Spray fabric thoroughly with liquid starch (diluted or full strength).

Dry: Hang to air dry or let it sit until fully dry.
Press: Iron with a hot iron until completely dry for crispness.

Why? Adds stability, prevents stretching/fraying, ensures accurate cuts.

Last meeting the Guild approved to buy a large mat for comfort quilts and QOV for the River House 48” x 80”. Double sided and think. Here it is being put to work.
