The Japanese craft of temari dates back to the 7th century. Inspired by Chinese deerskin hand balls, the Japanese adaptation utilizes kimono scraps to create intricate patterns. Reimagined once again in South America, this beautiful version is created by the talented artisans at AHA Bolivia using leftover pieces of baby alpaca yarn.

The gift of a temari is symbolizes friendship and wishes of happiness and luck for the recipient.
