I've been absent for a couple of months now due to my husband's illness and passing. I needed some time away from work so I'm on extended leave.
However, I will be back to work on the first Monday in June.

Good Morning! I hope that all of you reading this are doing well and enjoying the autumn weather.
Autumn brings a lot of fun events: Dances at school, choir & band concerts, and Halloween.
Need a hem for a uniform? I do that.
Repairs? Buttons & Zippers? I do that, too.
Need alterations on that special dress for an upcoming special event? I've got you covered.
Need an existing Halloween costume altered or repaired? Oh, how I love doing that!
Want a brand new custom-made costume? I do free consultations to see if I can make that happen. For bespoke costumes, you will need to provide a pattern, which I can help you find; the fabric, I can make suggestions on what would be best; and any notions such as zippers, buttons, matching thread, etc. The price for costume construction starts at $60.

I have the best clients a small business owner could have! Many of you have met my "shop assistant", Henry, over the last 4 years and have always been so sweet to him. I'm so sorry to say that Henry crossed the 'Rainbow Bridge' a week ago today. Several of you have reached out to express your condolences; my husband, our family, and I have appreciated every kind word and gesture.
LaPorte is a wonderful place to live and own a business.

This has always been my slower time of year; the quiet before the Prom Whirlwind begins. Which means that this is a great time to get repairs, hemming, and other alterations done. Right now, my turnaround time is between 48-72 hours! Most simple things can be rushed for same day or next day completion for a small rush fee.
During my downtime, I've been working on a quilt I largely hand pieced over a four month period as 2022 slowly slipped into 2023. Some of you might even recognize a piece of fabric or two as many of you graciously say, "Please, keep the left over fabric if you think you can use it!" I have put it all to good use for many projects! If you've given me fabric since I started this business, it is in this quilt top. My many thanks to you all!
