Nostromo jacket 2.0 After 4 years the other wore out. These jackets aren't available in the US. They come out of England. I switched over the lacing and cut out a stencil from vinyl decal stock & airbrushed it

Ive ran into several disiplines in my art career, the one that changed my way of approaching a painting was the imminant Boris Valleo, I have all his art books incloding one that explained how he approached an illustration. I was once asked to to a drawing of one of his works years ago called "The Valkyries" (almost spelt it in German) I changed my way of working out a painting with this book, strangely enough, I use Windsor Newton oils, so does he. These doodles were done on New Years Eve, 1997-98. Im working to get back to some serious painting this year

Im trying to do a Sci-Fi graphic novel, Trying to put elements together, my son is the "Steven King" in the family, hes a good read, we share the same genre.Trying to get him on board to co-write.The 1st image, I sasw elements of in a dream, yeaup, believe it or not. The 2nd, it actually was made into a formal painting, never took a picture of it (FRAK!) The model was from a Hustler Magazine (Gotta get my models somewhere!) but the finished piece had the surfboard transparant, I clothed her only, she was n**e, thought of a 2nd female character. I sold the painting, I didnt relalize that this preproduction pictures female character actually worked into the story, shes really a main charactor

Sewing, 101, Here a breakdown to the ways to a means. I firstly did a rubbing in muslim (not muslem) cloth of I found an accuate representation, I took that pattern, drew out seam allowaces, darts, all points., spread it out on the cloth. I later found a problem in the collar, but I found a problem in the lower part of the bodice or torso of the jacket, as you can see, a big issue, the bottom was measured @ 18 inches from side seam to side seam, it was 16 inches, had to tear upa days work, lay the piece on the pattern, dont know how it happened, furemore, the collar was measured @ 18 inches, the other was @ 20, WTF?. I recut the back panel, to remedy the collar, I made a dart just above the end notch as you can see in the photoThe button holes, as I had the luxury of a computerized Kemore, provided the proper "Key Hole " button holes. Along with the finished piece is the included details. This is a trophy piece for me, to have access to quality repro fabric & other notions as in buttons etc,Ive made some off the top StarTrek stuff, Ive worked 20 years to come to this end

Where are my manners, I was working on this piece as well. I plan to pay more homage to Keatons Bat down the way that will include a Kim Bassinger. I did a cool pen & ink a long time ago in my doodle book, hoping to revisit it one day, regrettably, it got slolen, YEAUP! Ive had a lot of art stolen BTW. Im thinking a Chistian Bale Bat as well, my swing out a Heath Leadger Joker. Dunno, you tell me? Stay tuned for more, Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel
