Twenty-five liters is the number nobody agrees on. Too small for a real hiking pack, too big for EDC — and that’s exactly the point.
This is the Techinkom Patrol Backpack, part of the Ratnik 6SH117 load-bearing system, original and made in Russia. It was built for one job: carry what you actually need for a day or two, not what you might need in a month.
What’s under the flap: one main compartment with a water-resistant internal pocket for documents, maps, and gear, plus two side pockets sewn longitudinally so long items — poles, tools, bottles — slide in behind them instead of rattling around loose.
The back panel is reinforced for support, the S-shaped shoulder straps adjust independently, and there’s a chest strap with a quick-release fastex buckle so the whole thing stays put when you’re moving fast. Compression straps let you cinch the volume down or lash extra gear on top. Drainage holes at the bottom mean it doesn’t turn into a bucket in the rain.
