Art in the Garden is Next Saturday, May 9, from 10 am to 4 pm. Here are the frequently asked questions to help you plan and make the best out of this experience.

*What is Art in the Garden 2026?
Art in the Garden 2026 is a free outdoor art experience in Picacho Hills where visitors stroll through six private gardens while discovering and shopping from talented local artists.

*Is Art in the Garden free to attend?
Yes. Art in the Garden is a free public community event made possible through the generous support of sponsors, garden hosts, volunteers, and The Artists of Picacho Hills.

*Where do I start?
Visitors can enjoy a relaxed, self-guided tour and explore the gardens at their own pace. Event maps, garden addresses, a list of artists for each garden, and information about available art media will be available at the welcome station at 1338 Picacho Hills Dr, Las Cruces, NM.

*What kinds of art will be featured at Art in the Garden?
Visitors will discover a curated selection of original artwork created by local artists across a wide variety of media, including:
Painting & Mixed Media: acrylics, cold wax & oil, encaustic, watercolors, mixed media
Sculpture & Ceramics: pottery, fused glass and metal garden art, ceramics
Jewelry & Fiber Arts: enameled jewelry, bead weaving, fiber arts, felting, weaving, embroidery
Printmaking, photography and other unique art forms like gourd art, quilts, and garden items.

*Whether you’re interested in vibrant paintings, handcrafted jewelry, or one-of-a-kind garden sculptures, there’s something to inspire every art lover.

*Can I buy artwork at the event?
Yes. Guests can purchase original artwork directly from the artists at each garden location. Cash, credit cards and Venmo are generally accepted by the artists.

*Will the artists be present?
Yes. Artists will be present throughout the event, giving visitors the opportunity to meet them and learn about their creative process.

*Why should I buy art directly from artists?
Buying directly from artists supports the local creative economy and allows you to take home unique, meaningful pieces.

*Is this event good for art collectors?
Absolutely. Art collectors can discover emerging and established local artists while viewing artwork in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Each garden has its own atmosphere, landscape design, scenic views, and featured artists.
