Custom Order Policies
Thank you for choosing The Little Couture Studio! 💕 Every piece is custom-created with care, time, and attention to detail. Please review the following policies before placing your order. Payment of your deposit confirms that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
💕 Deposits & Payments
A deposit is required to secure your order and production date.
All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, except if The Little Couture Studio cancels your order or is unable to complete your order by the agreed-upon deadline.
Deposits are used to purchase fabrics, custom printed materials, appliqués, rhinestones, trims, and other supplies specifically for your order.
Your order is not officially booked until your required deposit has been received.
Remaining balances must be paid by the date provided on your invoice. Orders will not be shipped, delivered, or released for pickup until the balance is paid in full.
📅 Turnaround Times & Deadlines
Turnaround time begins after:
Your deposit has been paid.
Your design/details have been approved.
All required measurements and information have been received.
Please provide your actual need-by date when booking.
Rush orders may be accepted depending on availability and may require an additional rush fee.
The Little Couture Studio is not responsible for missed deadlines caused by customers submitting measurements, payments, approvals, or other required information late.
📏 Measurements & Sizing
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and current measurements.
Please do not provide clothing sizes alone unless specifically requested. Custom clothing is created using the measurements provided.
The Little Couture Studio is not responsible for fit issues caused by incorrect measurements, estimated measurements, growth, weight changes, or measurements taken incorrectly.
If you are unsure how to measure, please ask before submitting your measurements.
Alterations required because incorrect measurements were provided may result in an additional charge.
🎨 Custom Designs & Mock-Ups
Custom means custom! Your finished piece is handmade and may not look exactly like a digital mock-up, inspiration photo, or reference image.
Mock-ups are intended to show the overall design concept.
Fabric placement, appliqué placement, rhinestone placement, trims, embellishments, and other handmade details may vary slightly.
When inspiration photos are provided, The Little Couture Studio will create a piece inspired by the requested look rather than guarantee an exact copy of another designer's work.
✏️ Design Changes
Please make all major design requests before approving your design.
Once materials have been ordered or construction has begun, changes may not be possible.
Changes requested after approval may require an additional fee to cover additional materials and labor.
Major changes that require restarting or replacing already-purchased custom materials will be quoted separately.
💬 Communication & Order Updates
The Little Couture Studio may have 20+ custom orders open at one time, all with different scheduled completion dates.
For this reason, I will not provide continuous progress updates before your order reaches its scheduled production time.
No update does not mean your order has been forgotten.
Orders are completed according to their scheduled deadlines, not according to how frequently update messages are sent.
Once I begin your order, I will contact you when I need an approval, have an important update, or need additional information.
Please allow reasonable time for messages to be answered. Multiple messages across different platforms may delay communication rather than speed it up.
🚫 Cancellations
If you decide to cancel your order after booking, your deposit remains non-refundable.
If materials have already been purchased and your payments exceed the deposit amount, any refund eligibility will depend on the amount of work completed and materials already purchased.
If The Little Couture Studio cancels your order, payments for work that cannot be completed will be refunded as appropriate.
📦 Shipping
Shipping time is separate from production time.
Once a package has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery times are outside The Little Couture Studio's direct control.
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
Additional shipping charges caused by an incorrect address, returned package, or requested reshipment are the customer's responsibility.
Please order early enough to allow time for unexpected carrier delays, especially when an outfit is needed for a pageant, birthday, competition, vacation, or other special event.
🧵 Handmade Items
Every item from The Little Couture Studio is handmade.
Small variations are normal and are part of purchasing a custom handmade piece.
Handmade items should be handled carefully. Rhinestones, feathers, appliqués, specialty trims, and other embellishments may require extra care.
Care instructions will vary depending on the materials used.
💎 Rhinestones & Embellishments
Rhinestones and other embellishments are applied securely, but occasional stone loss can happen with normal wear, transportation, or repeated use.
This does not automatically indicate a defect in workmanship.
Please handle heavily embellished outfits carefully and store them properly between uses.
📸 Photos & Social Media
The Little Couture Studio may photograph completed pieces for portfolio, website, and social media purposes.
If an outfit is a surprise or you do not want it posted before a particular date, please let me know when booking.
Customer or child's personal information will not intentionally be shared beyond information necessary to showcase the item without permission.
⚠️ Abandoned Orders
Customers are responsible for responding to requests for measurements, approvals, payments, shipping information, or other information necessary to complete an order.
Extended delays in responding may result in your order being removed from its original production date.
Orders that remain unpaid or unclaimed for an extended period after completion may be considered abandoned after reasonable attempts have been made to contact the customer.
💕 Respectful Communication
The Little Couture Studio is a small business operated by a real person with a family and multiple customers.
I am committed to treating every customer with kindness and respect, and I ask for the same in return.
Threatening, abusive, harassing, or excessively disrespectful communication will not be tolerated and may result in cancellation of the order according to the cancellation policy.
